Photovoltaic panels, also called "PV" panels, or solar electric panels, utilize light from the sun to generate an electrical current (DC). This generated electricity passes through an inverter that converts the DC current to usable AC current that can then be utilized within a building or fed back into the grid when more energy is generated then consumed.

How your residential PV project unfolds:
- Site analysis
HarneTech will visit your home to analyze the feasibility of a solar PV system, with a detailed look at site shading, roof conditions, roof structure, and potential panel layout.
- Proposal
A detailed proposal will be presented to you, outlining the potential system and its associated costs, energy savings, and available incentives.
- System Design
Upon proposal acceptance, we will work with our engineering partners to develop design drawings for you system, detailing the system layout, panel and inverter specifications, mounting arrangement, and electrical integration. These drawings will assist in the permit process.
- Installation
Experienced professionals will install your system. All required permits will be pulled before installation to make sure that all applicable codes are met. The installation time varies by the size of your system.
- Grants and Incentives
HarneTech will work with you to apply for any available federal and state incentives for your system.
- Commissioning
Once your system is installed, HarneTech will make sure all components are properly operating. These systems have very little maintenance and will generate renewable energy for your home for many years
